 19th December

Looks like there was some more close racing in the A final again this week, as John Fillingham just beat Steve Swan and anthony Spooner, all on 26 laps. Dave Irving dominated the B final, winning by 6 laps, while Garry won the Buggy final (nice to see the buggies back again!).

Full results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

Don't forget, the next race meeting will be on Friday 9th January 2004.

Have a great Christmas!!

 12th December

Phew! Anyone who says Stock Motor Racing isn't exciting should have been at tonight's meeting and I think you would have had to admit there was some really close and exciting racing taking place. We ran two qualifying rounds and a 2 leg final this evening, and in the end, Alex Taylor took the A Final win from John Fillingham, but just take a look at these results for leg 2 of the finals to see how close it was:

Pos Name Result Ave Best
1 John Fillingham 29 / 300.72 10.36 9.99
2 Alex Taylor 29 / 301.35 10.39 10.08
3 Anthony Spooner 28 / 307.77 10.99 10.26
4 Nathan Maycock 28 / 308.86 11.03 10.05

John and Alex spent the five minutes virtually within a car's length of each other, and both were predicted a 30 lap finish, until a minor clash slowed them both slightly. Anthony Spooner also drove an excellent race, having rolled his car off the track on the 1st lap, he came from last place and half a lap down back into 3rd place with a very respectable 28 laps.

With his result in leg 2 of the finals, John has also smashed the lap record for track 3, which Alex had held since June, by being faster by an average of 0.35s per lap.

The story was similar in the B Final with Steve Swan leading the pack to take 1st place overall, followed closely by Adrian Heslop and Rob Oliver - who has seen his placings improve with his new Schumacher Mission.

In the C Final, Colin Williams took 1st place ahead of Darren Parris and Gary Butterworth, who withdrew after damaging his spur gear.

Full results for tonight can be found in the Results section. Results have also been added for the 5th December.

Christmas Race Meetings

Next week (19th December) will be the last meeting before Christmas and we will return in the New Year on Friday 9th January 2004.

 8rd December

Committee Meeting - 3rd December

Just a quick update after last weeks Committee Meeting. Four people said they would be willing to stand as Committee members in the New Year, these are:

Dave Irving - Chairman
Adrian Heslop - Vice Chair / Publicity
Colin Williams - Treasurer / Web master
Wayne Spooner - Secretary / Membership

Each person would need to be formally nominated and seconded at the AGM in January before they can be elected. The fact that some people have come forward, doesn't stop any other Club members from expressing an interest in taking on any of these roles!

The date of the AGM was decided, and this will be held on Wednesday 14th January 2004 at the Leather Craftsman Public House, St Stevens Road, Kettering (click on the link for a map).

Garry announced that Burton MCC would be hosting one of the rounds of the Off Road Truck National's on 1st August 2004, which also allow us to run 2WD and 4WD buggies as well. This should be a great event for the Club. Garry will now book some Sunday's for next year's off-road meetings, so watch this space!

In addition, the club has been asked to put on a display at a School in Raunds in March - more detail to come on this soon.

It was noted that the BRCA have raised their membership fees to £10 for 2004, so this will affect our Club memberships in January. It was proposed that Club membership should be £5 giving a total Membership cost of £15 next year. This will be presented at the AGM for approval.

Finally, we discussed how to get more members at the Club, and the overwhelming view was that changing from a Friday night would help improve things. We need to check which other nights might be available at the William Knibb Centre - and we will give everyone plenty of notice if we decide to change.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Committee Meeting and made the effort to have their say.

Minutes from the meeting can be seen by clicking here.

 29th November

OK, so you should all now be aware that there is a Committee Meeting next Wednesday evening and one of the main items on the Agenda will be membership of the committee and in particular the fact that Garry, Simon and Angela intend to stand down at the end of this year. That means there will be positions for Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer and we would like to know who the candidates are before January's AGM.

So, if you have an interest in taking part in the running of the Club, please let us know either on Wednesday at the meeting, or let me know by e-mail.

Remember Wednesday 3rd December, 8pm, at the Leather Craftsman Public House, St Stevens Road, Kettering (click on the link for a map).

There will even be a light buffet provided!

 28th November

Well the spectators got to see some real close racing tonight, just take a look at these results from heat 1, in round 3 - it doesn't come much closer than this!

Pos Name Result Ave Best
1 John Fillingham 27 / 300.95 11.14 10.55
2 Alex Taylor 27 / 305.34 11.30 10.64
3 Anthony Spooner 27 / 305.51 11.31 10.63
4 Nathan Maycock 27 / 309.65 11.46 10.75

In the A Final, John just managed to keep his advantage over Alex, both drivers finishing on 28 laps within 4 seconds of each other, and this now gives John the lap record for track 4.

In the B final, Tyler just stayed ahead of Simon, both finishing on 17 laps.

Full qualifying and finals results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

 21st November

Some very fast lap times were put in tonight, including a new lap record for track 3, as Alex Taylor finally beat Paul Upton's previous record by shaving 0.01 second off the average lap time, but putting in one extra lap overall.

Full qualifying and finals results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

Talking of lap records, Alex also beat his own track record for track 1 on the 7th November, when he improved his average lap time over 28 laps from 11.05, to 10.87 seconds.

Check out the Gallery for photo's of driver's cars - including James' new ride!

A few of the Burton drivers are heading off to Watford this weekend for round 2 of the DMS championship - good luck to everyone taking part.

 18th November

Here's a bit more information regarding the Committee meeting to be held on 3rd December. The main items on the Agenda will be:

  • 2004 Race Calender
  • Committee membership

The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer will all be standing down from the committee at the end of this year, and nominations are to be proposed and seconded by 2nd January 2004.

Anybody wishing to know more about the positions and what is involved should ask the present committee members. The new committee will need to be elected in January at the AGM.

 14th November

There was a slightly different approach to racing this evening, where we ran two qualifying rounds followed by a two leg final. It still meant everyone got four runs on the track, but it cetainly made the finals more intersting, with no real way of knowing who would win overall until the last leg finished!

Full qualifying and finals results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

The Club Chairman has decided to hold a Committee Meeting before Christmas, due to matters arising with next years racing schedule. The meeting will take place on the 3rd December, 8pm, at our usual venue of the Leather Craftsman Public House, St Stevens Road, Kettering (click on the link for a map). There will even be a light buffet provided!

The Club AGM will still take place in January in accordance with BRCA rules. If you would like to be on the Committee, please let one of the existing Committee members know. There is not a lot of time involved with being on the Committee and we will gladly show you what is involved.

 7th November

We managed to fit three qualifying rounds and a final into tonight's meeting, and there was some very close racing! Alex showed us once again how to win the A Final, by finishing 3 laps ahead of Nathan in 2nd and Adrian in 3rd. In the B Final, Anthony Spooner recovered his form after some poor qualifying rounds and finished in 1st place, 1 lap ahead of James. In the C Final, Simon Williams took a very close win from Greg Farnden in 2nd and Lee Tyler in 3rd, who were all on the same lap.

In the Buggies, Garry had a bit of an "exhibition final" when Paul Upton dropped out with damage to his car.

Full qualifying and finals results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

 31st October

Coffin's were out in force this evening, along with a few pumpkins! A special prize should have gone to Tony Spooner, whose trailer lasted for less than a lap before it left pieces all over the carpet! Simon Williams won first prize for his trailer "The Pumkinator" - one of the few to survive to the end of the evenings racing!

We ran a special "simple" track to try and help the trailers last as long as possible - which explains some of the high numbers of laps for the "standard" cars running without trailers.

It was great to see a few drivers visiting from the Silverstone Club - we hope you enjoyed the fun.

There are some photo's of the trailers in the Gallery section, and full qualifying and finals results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

 17th October

There was more close racing tonight, with Anthony Spooner taking victory in the A final this week from Colin Williams, and Jamie Oliver wining the B final only just ahaed of Lee Johnson.

It was nice to see the buggies back again this week and Simon Webb took a 4 lap victory off Wayne Spooner.

Full qualifying and finals results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

What will your Halloween "caravan" look like - will it be a pumpkin, coffin, or something more "ghoulish"? Whatever it is, make sure it's ready for the 31st October and our fun night - there will be a prize for the best car and trailer outfit (but feel free to wear fancy dress as well if you want!)

 10th October

The Finals showed some close racing tonight, with John Fillingham just beating Nathan by 1 lap and Anthony Spooner just slightly off the pace in 3rd place. Stuart Gates took a relatively easy victory in the B final, with Lee Johnson winning the C final with a 5 lap margin.

Full race meeting results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

We managed to fit three qualifying rounds and a final into tonight's meeting, and we will continue to do this if time permits. Great news is that the Club is now using RC-Timing - it certainly makes putting the results on this site a lot easier for me! As the timing software is so easy to use, race control will also be easier to run, so if you fancy a go, see one of the Committee members.

Some good news, if you need new tyres, is that ModelTech now have a new shipment of T27's just come into stock - so if you need any just click on the logo on the right of this page.

Halloween "caravan" racing will take place on the 31st October - there will be a prize for the best outfit!

 3rd October

Another win tonight for Alex Taylor in the A final, just 1 lap ahead of John Fillingham. Adrian Heslop took the win of the B final by 5 laps, and James Trostler won the C final. In the Buggy's, Wayne Spooner took the win on 17 laps.

Full race meeting results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

I hope you're all starting to think about your pumpkin's and coffins "caravans" for the Halloween race night in October!

 28th September

"Burton Boyz invade The Rock - Again!"

Everyone seemed to have a great days racing at the last meeting for this year at the Rockingham Speedway Track.

Alex Taylor got a trophy for his 1st place in the "Hoosier" championship and Anthony Spooner took 3rd place in the Modified B Final.

Well done to everyone from the Club who took part.

 26th September

"Where was everyone?" Things were a bit quieter than usual tonight - I guess some drivers were preparing their cars for Rockingham on Sunday. Well it didn't stop some exciting racing, and we got started early enough to run 3 Qualifying rounds and a Final for everyone!

In the B final, Stuart Gates raced home with a 20 lapper, 4 laps ahead of Lee Johnson and Tyler Liggins.

In the A final, it was very close and fast, with a win for John Fillingham on 25 laps, only 1 lap ahead of Paul Coleman in 2nd place.

Full race meeting results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

Good Luck to everyone from BMCC racing at Rockingham on Sunday - let's see some more trophies!

 19th September

"Anthony Spooner wins the A final!" Well, he's been improving rapidly over the past few weks, and tonight he didn't succumb to the pressure and held on to a one lap win after Alex made a mistake in the infield section. The A final was extremely close, with 2nd, 3rd and 4th place drivers all on the same lap. Paul Coleman won the B final by one lap and Lee Johnson won the C final on an excellent 21 laps - a new personal best!

In the Buggy final Garry romped away with a 4 lap victory.

Full race meeting results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

"James rolls carpet!" Well it might be pretty remarkable, but it's only one example of how there were plenty of willing hands tonight to help layout and pack away the track - thanks a lot, it makes for a much more relaxed evening when it's not just two or three people doing all the work and it's much appreciated.

 12th September

It was another nights fast racing tonight, with Alex beating his own track record again for track 2, knocking 0.15s off his average lap time and beating Tony Spooner by 2 laps. In the B final, Dave Irving took the win on 24 laps, 2 laps ahead of Darren Parris and Simon Williams won the C final with his own personal best of 19 laps, one lap ahead of Lee Johnson.

In the Buggies, Garry Starks took the win on 19 laps, one lap ahead of Wayne Spooner.

Full race meeting results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

Look out for pumpkin's and coffins at a special Halloween race night in October - more details to come........

 5th September

We were pleased to welcome some new drivers to tonight's meeting - we hope you enjoyed your evenings racing!

There was some very close racing in all the finals, with Alex pulling out an amazing 28 lapper, to beat his own record for the first time since we started racing on these tracks.

Full race meeting results for tonight can be found in the Results section.

Don't forget, the next meeting of the BMCC Committee will take place on the 10th September at the Leather Craftsman Public House, St Stevens Road, Kettering (click on the link for a map). This is an important meeting, so please come along if you are able.

 27th July

There wasn't a big turnout today, but that didn't stop everyone having loads of fun blasting round the outdoor track!

The A final was full of incident, as Colin Williams damaged his car on the first lap and had to leave the race, leaving a closely fought race, which ended with Simon Webb winning by one lap, and then Anthony Spooner losing his second place as he had to stop for a battery change half way through.

The B final was a close fought race, with Wayne Spooner just beating Chris Webb into 2nd, with Simon Williams following up in 3rd.

Race results have been added to Results section.

Next off-road meeting will be Sunday 31st August - dust off your buggies and come along for a fun days racing!

 25th July

Anthony Spooner wins again! It seems Anthony has really got his car dialled in at the moment, with an impressive 2 lap win over Nathan Maycock in 2nd place. In the B final, Dave Irving made up for a poor qualifying position, by coming through to beat 2nd place driver Lee Johnson by just 1 lap.

In the buggy final, Garry took a comfortable win from Angie in 2nd place - no broken cars this week!

Full race results have been added to Results section.

 18th July

A bit of a surprise result in tonights racing, with Anthony Spooner having a brilliant race to take 1st in the A final, while Paul Coleman had just too much bad luck and dropped from pole to 3rd, with Dave Irving taking a well fought 2nd place.

Colin Williams won the B final from Stuart Gates who was getting very close in the final stages, while Shane Nortje won the C final from Lee Johnson by 3 laps.

In the Buggy final, Garry made a valiant effort on 3 wheels to keep Wayne at bay, but in the end Wayne won through by 1 lap.

Full race results have been added to Results section.

Results for the Summer Series so far, can be found here.

Don't forget we have an outdoor race meeting next Sunday, 27th July, track set-up starts at 8am, with booking in at 9am. Directions to the track can be found on the Outdoor page.

 11th July

Well we may have had fewer drivers tonight than we've had in a while, but the driving was still fast and close! That's the great thing about stock class racing in that all the cars are pretty equal and it comes down to drivers having to take a clean racing line and carry speed through the corners - I could watch this kind of racing all night!

At the end of the night Alex took another win, giving him max. points in the championship so far, followed by Paul Coleman. Adrian Heslop won the B final followed by Tom Marchant and Lee Johnson won the C final. In the buggy's, Dave took another win, with Angie in 2nd place.

Full race results have been added to Results section.

Results for the Summer Series so far, can be found here.

 4th July

The off-road race results from 29th June have now been added, click here to see them.

Tonights racing saw some very close battles in the Stock A final behind Alex, who took the win from Paul Coleman. Alex very nearly took the track fastest lap time from Paul Upton, but was just 0.14 sec too slow. The Stock B final was won by Anthony Spooner, with a massive 5 laps over Tom Marchant in 2nd place, and Lee Bunker won the Stock C final, after problems with his car all night, followed by Stuart Gates in 2nd place.

Dave won the Buggy final for the fourth week of the series, followed closely by Garry in 2nd place.

Full race results have been added to Results section.

Results for the Summer Series so far, can be found here.

Dave Irving won the Buggy final again, with a 2 lap lead over Garry.

Full race results have been added to Results section.

Don't forget we have an outdoor race meeting next Sunday, 29th June, track set-up starts at 8am, with booking in at 9am. Directions to the track can be found on the Outdoor page.

 13th June

The Summer Series has started!!

Tonight saw the start of a 12 week Summer Series, with the best 8 results to count towards driver's championship position. Trophy's will be on offer to the top drivers, and results can be found here.

It was another great nights racing, and Alex Taylor was back on his old form, leaving the rest of the A finalists behind with a 5 lap win - must check his motor next week, it's ballistically quick!

Colin Williams won the Stock B final by 2 laps and Lee Johnson won his first final in the Stock C - well done! Dave Irving is really getting to grips with his new buggy, and won the Buggy final by 3 laps ahead of Garry.

Full race results have been added to Results section.

Some more photo's have been added to the Gallery.

 6th June

It was great to see some guest drivers tonight from Silverstone Buggy Club, so welcome, and we hope you enjoyed the evening.

There was some excellent racing, with a new record lap time set for track 3 in stock, by Paul Upton.

Nathan Maycock won the Stock A final by 2 laps after Paul Upton had to retire with problems. James Trostler won the Stock B final by 2 laps, after putting in his best performance of the evening, and Stuart Gates won the Stock C final from Jamie Oliver, with some very respectable lap times.

Steve Swan set a new track record in modified class, and won the A final without any real competition after Mark Riccioni suffered damage to his car.

The buggy heat saw an increase in drivers this week, with an unexpected number of new racers getting buggies in anticipation of outdoor racing! Dave Irving beat Garry Starks by 2 laps, in a final not without incident (oops Simon, that's gonna be a new wishbone!!)

Full race results have been added to Results section.

Some photo's of trophy presentations have also been added to the Gallery.

 4th June

You can read a full set of the minutes from tonights Committee meeting on any race night, but here are the key points you may be interested in:

  • The outdoor race meeting on 4th May was seen as a success and we will be going ahead with a trophy meeting on 24th June. However, the outdoor meeting set for 24th August clashes with a meeting at Rockingham, so we will change ours to 31st August to allow drivers to attend both meetings if they want to.
  • The new comm lathe is being used a lot, but we are not sure everyone is paying £1 each time they use it. Please do pay for this service, otherwise we may not be able to afford to replace the tip when it wears out.
  • Scrutineering will be improved by putting a table in front of race control, so that cars can easily be seen and will be checked for motor / tyres.
  • Marshalling needs to improve and everyone will be reminded of the need to do this.
  • Many thanks were given to Mark Coleman for his work in improving the connectors for the guttering, it has made the tracks a lot easier to lay and they stay put more now.
  • some of the committee members are going to go to the Tamiya Club on a race night to say hello and introduce ourselves.
  • Many thanks also to Darren Parris who has registerd an alternative domain for the club to use of www.modelcarclub.org
  • A Summer Championship will start on Friday 13th June, with the best 8 of 12 results to count towards the final placings.

Next Committee meeting is 10th September.

 1st June
A Club Committee meeting will be held on Wenesday 4th June at 7.30pm, in the Leather Craftsman Public House, St Stevens Road, Kettering. All members are welcome to come along to the meeting. See you there!

 9th May

Well, at the end of the evening, Paul Coleman just couldn't catch Alex in the A Final this week, although it was a very close race. Chris Collins came in first in the B Final, although the true victory goes to Simon Webb, as Chris was running a modified motor and Anthony Spooner won the C Final 2 laps ahead of Stuart Gates.

In the Buggy Final, Garry beat Wayne by 3 laps and Stuart with his first outing of his "fireblade" suffered a broken servo on the first lap.

Track 2 is a very tricky one and everyone struggled to get the line right through the tight inner sections and keep it clean in the finals. - but it just makes it more of a challenge for next time!

Full race results have been added to Results section.

 4th May

Well the sun certainly shone on those who turned out for today's off-road meeting, although it was a day of mixed blessings for some drivers, with a broken gearbox mount for Simon Webb, blown up speedo for Alex Taylor, dead steering servo for Colin Williams and soldering problems for Anthony Spooner!

Sam Smith came home 1st in the A Final, 3 laps ahead of Simon Webb in second, and Garry Starks in 3rd place - who all receive trophy's. Wayne Spooner won the B Final by just 1 lap, ahead of Angie Dixon in 2nd and Simon Williams in 3rd place - who also receive trophy's

Next off-road race will be Sunday 29th June - more sun and fun forecast!

Today's race results have been added to Results section and some picture from the day have been added to the Gallery.

 2nd May

It was great to see a few new racers at tonight's meeting - so welcome to the Club. If you've just become a member, take a few minutes to look at the club rules on the "club" page.

Well, it seems there's a new contender for Stock supremacy, as Paul Coleman was only just beaten into 2nd place by Alex Taylor, by 5 seconds!

In Stock B, Stuart Gates made a comeback from last place, to beat Jamie Oliver by 2 laps and in Stock C, Lee Johnson came home winner with a 2 lap lead.

The Modified A final saw Chris Collins romping home to win by a clear 3 laps over James Trostler, while Simon Webb "trounced" the opposition in the Buggy final, with a 5 lap win!

Full race results have been added to Results section.

Don't forget, we are racing Sunday morning at the outdoor track, and we will be setting up from 8am and starting racing as soon as the track is laid. So if you're planning on racing, come along and help set out the track.

 26th April

It's time to dust off those Buggy's and get ready to brave the elements once again, as we re-open the off-road track. Four dates have been set for this year on the following Sundays:

29th June
27th July
24th August

 25th April

We've now run all four track layouts at the William Knibb centre and Alex Taylor has set the fastest time on three of them! Again tonight he came home 1st in the Stock A Final, 2 laps ahead of Nathan Maycock. Tom Marchant won the Stock B Final by 1 lap, with Darren Parris winning the Stock C Final. Anthony Spooner came home 1st in the Modified A Final, while his dad Wayne won the Buggy B Final!

It was great to see 25 drivers at tonights meeting - but we still have room for more, so if you are thinking about starting racing, why not come along and see us in action?

Tonights race results added to Results section.

 11th April

With no Alex to compete with this week, Nathan romped home to win the Stock A Final by 2 laps. Dave Irving fought an extremely close race with David Doughty to win the Stock B Final by just 2/100's of a second, and Simon Willams won the Stock C Final by just 2/10's of a second. Chris Collins came home first in the Modified A Final by 2 clear laps.

Tonights race results added to Results section.

Because it's Good Friday next week, there will be no racing, but we will be racing again on Friday 25th April.

 4th April

Alex Taylor showed once again that he knows how to set up and drive his car in stock class, with a 2 lap victory over Nathan Maycock in the A Final. Colin Williams came home 1st in the Stock B Final, just in front of Anthony Spooner and David Doughty won the Modified A Final by a 1 lap margin.

Race results are in the Results section.

The Club has now bought a Comm Lathe to help give members the opportunity to have their motors skimmed at a meeting, for only £1, per armature. So bring your old motors along and get them revived!

GOOD NEWS!!!!

The Club has now moved venue to a more permanent location where we won't continually get moved from hall to hall. We have also made another change to race on a Friday night. All of this was agreed by the Committee and some of the members who came to a meeting on the 20th.

The new venue is the William Knibb Centre in Alfred Street, Kettering and we will be in the upstairs Gym - if you're not sure where to go, drop me an e-mail with your phone number and I'll give you a call.

The next time we will race is Friday, 28th March.

See you there!!!

 18th March

Bad News!

Unfortunately we have just been told that we can't have either the Main Hall or the Gym to race in on the 20th March, so this weeks Club Meeting will have to be cancelled.

The Committee are meeting on Thursday to discuss this, so watch this space for more info in a few days time.

 13th March

Tonight saw the start of the split Stock and Modified classes for the touring cars, with some really enjoyable and close racing. Race results can be found in the Results section.

Next week, racing will be in the Gym. If you can get there a little earlier to help move and set-up the track it will be a great help.

 8th March

Club Rules added to "Club" section.

 7th March

GOOD NEWS!!

We will be racing on 13th March, at Pope John School - please tell anyone you know who normally races. There was a problem with the booking of the main hall but that has now been sorted out - many thanks to Craig Butterworth for that.

AGM Highlights

14 club members came to the AGM and it proved to be an interesting evening with plenty of discussion about the way forward for the Club. The minutes will be published in full once they have been prepared, but for now here are the highlights:

  • The existing committee were voted back on, with no changes.
  • A new roll of carpet will be bought, which should be long enough to cover all the floor in the main hall.
  • The club will buy a Comm Lathe and then charge members a small fee to have their comm's skimmed - we will also look into providing new brushes.
  • A Championship series will be run Thursday evenings - to start shortly.
  • We are hoping to organise some all day racing on a Sunday, with prizes, etc. at the school. This may be indoors, or outdoors on the tennis courts weather permitting.
  • There is a desire to race offroad again, so we are going to look into organising some events at Burton Latimer.
  • Mini-pins are no longer to be used indoors, with the only exception being for inexperienced drivers while they get used to getting the car around the track. The club control tyre is the T27, however drivers may use any rubber treaded tyre (no rally blocks or foams).
  • To try and improve marshalling and speed things up a bit, all drivers will have to place cars/transmitters on a table by race control after a race and then straight out to marshall. This will also allow cars to be scrutineered for motors/tyres.
  • It was agreed that next year, the annual subscription to the club should rise to £20 including BRCA membership, instead of raising the weekly race fee, which will stay as it is.

 27th February

Back in the gym again tonight with some very fast and very close racing. Well done to all the drivers, it was some of the cleanest and most "sporting" racing that's been seen in a long time!

Tonight's race results added.

VERY IMPORTANT NEWS !!!!

There will not be any racing next week - 6th March, or the following week 13th March.

The AGM has been rescheduled and will now take place on Thursday evening, 6th March. Same venue, the Leather Craftsman Public House, St Stevens Road, Kettering. Everyone's welcome - please come along and have your say. Starts at 8pm.

If you know anyone who wasn't at tonight's racing, please let them know there is no race meetings for the next two weeks.

When we race on 20th March, we will start the split stock / modified classes. Mini-pins will not be allowed on any cars, unless the driver gains approval of the race co-ordinator on the night. As a guide, mini-pins should only ever be used by very inexperienced drivers. Please note that cars will be scrutineered at random.

 20th February

There were 21 finalists tonight, with one or two not making it that far, with more drivers trying out stock motors and producing some very close racing at times. Final placings have been added to the results page.

Drawings of the track layouts used have now been included on the "Indoor" section of the site, and some more pictures are in the Gallery.

A Club Committee meeting and AGM will be held on Monday 3rd March at 8pm, in the Leather Craftsman Public House, St Stevens Road, Kettering. All members are welcome to come to the meeting and have their say about the running of the Club. See you there!
